21 weeks and counting....

My belly sure has changed a lot over the last 5 weeks and the baby inside my belly has grown to 10.5" long and weights a whole 1lb =)!!! I had an ultrasound 3 days ago and it was amazing! Bren, my mom, and my sister Amanda were all in the room with me. We got to see the little baby's face, which is just precious. The ultrasound tech also looked at the heart, brain, spine, length of bones, kidneys, and stomach. She said everything looks perfect =) So far my pregnancy has been far from perfect, but I am starting to feel a little better. YAY!! I am gaining weight... lots of weight! I have now gained 18 lbs! I was hoping I would only gain 20 lbs my whole pregnancy, but that's obviously not going to happen ;) We stuck with our plan of not finding out what we are having, but it was super hard not to look at the screen when she went in between the baby's legs, we had to close our eyes. I go back and forth every day, one day I will be convinced it is a girl then the next I will just know its a boy lol. I can't wait to see what it is on June 28th!!! Below are two pictures. One is of the miracle inside my belly who Bren and I already love more then anything in this world. My belly gets lots of kisses from Bren and Kolter (the 16 month old little boy that my family babysits a lot... it is so sweet when he lifts up my shirt and kisses my big belly). The other picture is of my big belly! Luckily I have no stretch marks yet... hopefully my awesome oil for pregnant bellies helps prevent them =)

Papa's 50th Birthday!

Today is my dad's 50th Birthday! My baby will call him papa =) I think it will be great that the year my dad will become a grandpa will be when he is 50! We had a big surprise party for him on Sunday and tonight we went out to a family dinner at Jalapenos. Recently I have found that I LOVE spicy foods, so Mexican food really hit the spot =)

Its been awhile since I have posted belly pictures, I have Bren take them.... then problem is finding a time I feel good enough to actually post them on the blog. I am now almost 18 weeks pregnant, but I still feel very nauseated almost all the time. I am now taking two different medications for the nausea, but neither one of them do much... but they do help a little. I was really hoping they would prescribe me some miracle drug,
unfortunately I now know that one doesn't exist =(

Besides the nausea things are going well. I am starting to feel more pregnant and not just sick due to my growing belly.
lol. With the help of my dad and sister Bren and I were able to get the nursery cleared out (we were using it as a storage room), next step is paint. Then the fun decorating part will start =)

I'll try my best to post another picture at 19 weeks, I am already a lot bigger then in this 16 weeks photo.... =)

cribs, cribs, cribs...

We made our way into Spokane today to look at nursery furniture. Originally I planned on waiting until I felt better to do something so fun =) Unfortunately I am now 15 weeks pregnant and I still feel miserable... So my hopes aren't very high that I will start feeling better anytime soon. We looked at lots and lots of cribs and we finally found the perfect one! It is set low so I will easily be able to lay the baby down and get the baby out, I think it was made for short people ;) We are going to purchase the crib and the matching short dresser/changing table.

We had a wonderful Christmas spent with my family. Our New Years was not very exciting (Bren had to work), but he got home in time for a kiss at midnight =)

I am getting a baby bump!! I will have Bren take a picture soon, just in case anyone wants to see it ;)

Nursery

I can't wait til I start feeling better so we can start on the lil' peanuts nursery. I was looking to get a custom made crib bedding set because I knew what I wanted and I wasn't able to find it... Today I found a set I LOVE!! I am ordering it as soon as I get home from work and I am going to save over $300 what I was going to spend on the custom bedding. Yay!!

There will be a brown accent wall in the nursery and all the other walls will be the pretty green (light turquoise color). I am also getting the valence for the window and the diaper stacker. My dad is super excited to start painting, so I need to get the bedding ordered so we can buy paint colors that match the bedding perfectly =)

As soon as I start feeling better I am going to go to Spokane to start looking at nursery furniture. We are definitely going to get espresso colored wood to match our decor =)

My 2nd trimester is going to begin on Sunday! I better start feeling better! I now have a little baby bump =) Bren went out and got me some oil I have heard great things about. Its called Mothers special blend, I am praying it helps prevent stretch marks =)Incase any expecting moms looking at my blog are interested I'll post a picture below.

Daddy's First Post

My poor wife is sick, so I am going to share the Ultrasound picture with everyone. I am going to attempt to update the blog with a picture of today's Ultrasound (mommy is 10 weeks 4 days along). First, let me tell you how amazing it was being in the room while Chelsi was getting the Ultrasound done. It really was breathtaking when I saw my little P-Nut waving it's arms and kicking it's legs, although it is only about two inches long and the legs and arms are sooo tiny, I got to watch my baby moving around and it almost made me cry. We got to hear the baby's heart beating and it was also amazing, It was beating soooo incredibly strong, at 167 beats per minute with the normal heartbeat being anywhere between 130-170. In the picture below you can see the baby with it's legs in the air between kicks.

Thanksgiving!!!

Bren and I were counting down the days until Thanksgiving, we couldn't wait to tell everyone our exciting news! It was so hard to keep my pregnancy a secret, but we did it =) We mailed out photo greeting cards to all Bren's family on the east coast, I love how they turned out. Eventually Ill try to scan one onto the computer so I can put it on here, but right now I have no energy at all. I have been so sick =( People keep telling me it will get better in the 2nd trimester, I sure hope they are right! Anyways, back to Thanksgiving... everyone was so excited to hear our news! My grandma Sandy even jumped up and down when she found out, it was so cute! I know our lil' peanut is going to be so so so loved! Bren got to eat all the yummmmy Thanksgiving food, unfortunately I only got 3 rolls and a couple bites of green bean casserole. Even though I was feeling terrible, it was so nice to be around family and friends who were congratulating us all day long! I'll try to be better with updating my blog.... but when I get home from work all I want to do is go to bed =(

Special delivery from Auntie Beth

I was so surprised when I got home from work and had a box from New Jersey waiting for me. My wonderful friend Beth bought our lil' peanut his/her first castle complete with a knight, princess, and dragon! It is the cutest toy I have ever seen, I know our baby is going to love playing with it =) Thanks Beth!!
